  • Origin:

    Crude palm oil (CPO) is extracted from the pulp of the fruit of the oil palm, also known as Elaeis guineensis. It is one of the world's primary sources of vegetable oil.

  • The extraction process:

    Crude palm oil is obtained through a pressing process of the fresh fruit of the palm and subsequent refining to remove impurities.

  • Suggested uses:

    Palm oil and its fractions, liquid (olein) and solid (stearin), are used in the production of oil blends, margarines, baking fats, and confectionery fats. They have also been diversified for use in the production of fuels, detergents, cosmetics, plastics, vitamins, and others.
